In recent years great technological developments and digitalization have taken place in the automotive industry. Whilst many other forms of transportation have been lagging behind; scooters being one of them. In 2015 the team behind Etergo identified this issue and the opportunity to develop a better solution. As a result of their efforts the concept for the AppScooter was developed.

Shortly after introducing the concept to the public, Studio Mango started working together with Etergo. Studio Mango was involved in the engineering & development of several components for the AppScooter. Such as all drive light units, the multimedia speaker and the drive sound generator. During a period of 1,5 years of continuous development Etergo has become one of the brightest stars of the Dutch start-up scene.

At Studio Mango we are very proud to have worked together with the team of Etergo on the development of this fantastic piece of Dutch ingenuity and to have offered our support in:

  • Design for manufacturing (DFM) of all LED lighting units.
  • Consultancy & assistance for homologation (High beam, Low Beam, DRL, Front and rear Indicators, Rear position and brake light.
  • Sourcing capable and affordable manufactures.
  • Support in manufacturing of certified/homologated prototypes for road testing.
  • Design and engineering of the multimedia speakers.
